Ana Galarraga

Iaz ezagutu genuen Naroa Aldanondo, Caf-Ehuyar sari-banaketan. Hain juxtu, sarietako bat irabazi zuen, bere tesian oinarritutako dibulgazio-artikuluari esker. Lana bilatzen zebilela esan zigun orduan, eta orain jakin dugu topatu duela, non eta Saudi Arabian!

Ostaizka Aizpuruarekin geratu gara hemen, Zarautzen, bera zarauztarra delako. Baina zuk, Ostaizka, ez duzu inguru honetan egiten lana, ezta?

Ez. Duela sei urte joan nintzen Leioara, karrera egitera. Biologian lizentziatua naiz, eta, han karrera egiten ari nintzela sartu nintzen EHUren Zoologia taldean, eta oraindik han jarraitzen dut eta Bilbon nabil lanean.

Igor Peñalva, ingeniero nuclear
04/26/2011

Ana Galarraga

Hi! Here we've got Igor Peñalva, an expert in nuclear physics, and it's about 25 years since the Chernobyl accident happened. You must have been very young at the time. Do you remember it?

I was born in 1975 so I would have been about 11, wouldn't I? I remember we saw something about it on TV, and on the radio, too, and they were saying something about it every day. And I remember it was a big piece of news, but I don't remember that much about it, to tell the truth...

Joseba Rios, arqueólogo
02/03/2011
Ana Galarraga

The
archaeologist Joseba Rios is in love with the Neanderthals. He would have loved
to have had the chance to spy on them through a crack in a wall and see at
first hand how they lived, what their relationships were like, how they
organised themselves. As that can’t be done, he gets information from the
remains he comes across in the excavations. At the Archaeological Museum he
told us a tiny bit about what he knows.

Ion Agirrezabal is 25 and from Iruñea-Pamplona. Right now he's living in Barcelona because he's working on his PhD in the Neuroimmunology Department of the Hospital Clínic. Before that, he had graduated in Biochemistry, done a Master's in Molecular Biology and Biomedicine; he has also studied Physics and manages in five languages...

From your CV it doesn't look as though you had much time left for nights out during your student days. Is that so?

Lorea Arakistain

At the UPV/EHU-University of the Basque Country where he studied economics he now lectures in the subject. He has always been involved in teaching even while he was a student.

How do you move from studying to teaching?

It’s rather an abrupt change, although I wasn’t new to teaching. While I was studying, I used to work by teaching at private teaching centres to earn some money. The research part is a bit more complicated; it’s something you have to learn...
