Vibering, jewellery than can hear Print E-mail
Published in : News Written by irrika on 2008-10-08 09:13

vibering2.jpgA Vibering consists of two rings and a bracelet and is a set of jewellery invented by the Koreans Kwang-seok Jeong, Min-hee Kim and Hyun-joong Kim. In addition to being attractive they are special because they help deaf people to hear. The rings have a sound sensor and have to be worn on each hand. That way they pick up the sounds that reach them separately from the right and from the left. The information they receive is sent to the bracelet, which indicates what it is by means of a icon on a little screen. For example, in the case of the sound of a vehicle, it displays a car; if the sound is the deaf person’s name, for example, it indicates that the person is being called. It can also recognise a number of short phrases.
